The year 2015 was special for the city of Nova Gorica, because it hosted a one of a kind project called the Street of smiles. The project involved students from 4 primary schools, 3 from Slovenia and 1 from Italy. Over the year students took photographs of each-other smiling. When the project was finished, the photographs of kids with smiles on their faces were exhibited on a street that connects Nova Gorica (SLO) with Gorizia (IT). The project was implemented by the Foundation of Silvan Furlan led by our teammate Anita Zelić. When time for protocol gifts came, the town of Nova Gorica came in touch with us. As we were still under the impression of studies how a smile works on us as human beings, we suggested that municipality of Nova Gorica our findings share with everyone in the form of a calendar.
