AmeyaKadam and his friend Sanman Mohite went on an amazing journey to discover thetruth hidden in the darks of Crawford Market. Place unknown to the average eye and not very inviting to the averageIndian attracted Ameya Kadam to be lost in, with his camera.
This ironic yet realistic venture by Ameya Kadam takes theviewer through an eye opening journey into the world of abattoirs. The placehas parallel aspects of life operating at various levels and needs a probinglens man to capture the moments of subsistence by its participants.
Ameya’s focus in this project has been to capture theexistence of life in a place that exists for the exact opposite purpose. Thepictures also speak of the existence of ‘life’ in uncanny places and theability of various beings to find their own zones of comfort.
He has proven his dexterity to capture dramatic yet unrealisticmoments in the routine chores in the abattoir.
His skillful use of the natural light to highlight themoment in the frame makes the pictures seem full of verve.
