Lodos
Lodos is the name of the wind that usually turns to be a storm blowing from the south of Marmara Sea. Despite of its small size Marmara Sea creates strong winds blow up to 100km per hour hitting the shores of Istanbul and Thrace region. Lodos comes with huge waves, dark sky with twirling clouds and restless mood on residents souls. On a Lodos day on the beach it is possible to see various goods thrown from the sea to the shore...a handmade horse made from reeds , bulbs , dolls next to milk (süt) packs , shoes etc. These pictures are the remains of a Lodos day.
