"...Are you there?

I bare my thoughts on my face for all to see... Why doesn't anyone see them, why doesn't anyone see me? Please see me, notice me, I'm right here! Does my smile hide me, make me disappear? I need you, someone, anyone! Can you hear me? I'm crying out for help... or I thought I was, but now I don't remember my lips ever moving. So why do my unanswered screams still ring in my ears?

...I'm hurting inside.

My tears fall, they feel like acid as they slide down my face. There's a strange comfort in this familiar pain. My pillow hears my silent cries, but it holds no comfort for me. Why aren't you here, you're never here when I need you, nobody is. all everyone wants to see is that I am happy... I am happy... I am ...happy?

...I'm happy like you.

I smile, I laugh, I joke. This is my life, this is my biggest lie and you will never know... please forgive me."
