Consume The Sun – Holy Poison

Proud to present another fruitful collaboration with the metal band Consume the Sun(US) for their upcoming “Holy Poison” EP.

The album artwork is related to the earlier artwork made for them, presenting a larger and more detailed view of the imprisoned Vitruvian ecorche in the ghoulish machinery of dissection for consuming souls. Inspired by the human anatomy from the Renaissance period and the dissections of Dr. Gunter von Hagens, I’ve imagined that the human mind is an infinite universe where the Sun represents the soul and for that creating a connection with the past beliefs where the Man and Sun were standing in the center of the Universe.

The illustrations was made in a traditional manner with Copic Multiliners SP(0.05, 0.1) and digital post-processed after.

I would like to thank the band members for this opportunity, it was a project that I really enjoyed working on and I’ll hope to see them again in the future for more Consume The Sun artworks.
