We were asked to create an informational brochure about an object that was randomly assigned. I was given the Swiss Army Knife; an iconic pocket knife multi-tool originally designed by Karl Elsner. I decided to focus on the history of the two brands, comparing them side by side.

 

Overall dimensions : 17" x 11"

I utilized the proportions of the Swiss National Flag cross to create blocks of space for image title and text.

The brochure mimics the sense of intricate gadgetry of the Swiss Army Knife by creating a smaller section that serves as a closing mechnism for the brochure. The section displays the historical timeline of the Swiss Army Knife with footnotes for certain details.
