This city - Taipei

- Taipei main station -

Everyday,

There are thousands of people flowing.

However, is there anyone

Temporarily stopping

To notice it

And things around it?

Taipei is where I live, the capital of Taiwan.

Taipei Station is the primary transportation hub as well as the largest railway station with the highest traffic in Taiwan.

The daily transfer passengers are more than a half of million, and the total person-time is ranked 25 in the world.

This is it in my eyes.

Few of passing people would stop for it.

People come and leave hurriedly and purely utilize it to reach their final destinations.

For me, nonetheless, it is beautiful. It is not simply a place to bear passengers,

But it also bears the history of our country as well as the first place I take my trip alone.

The traffic, flow, passengers, and negligible nobodies in our life

Symbol the prosperity, vividness, and liveliness of a city.

Without it, we would not have our current life.

To it, what we can say is

Just thanks.

- 台北車站 -

每天每天，
數以萬計的人們在這裡流動著，
但是可曾有人，

暫時的停下腳步，
注意它，
和它周遭的一切。

台北，是我所居住的國家-台灣的首都，
台北車站是它首要的交通樞紐，也是全臺灣規模且運量最大的鐵路車站，
每日轉乘的旅客約50萬人次以上，總使用人次居於全球第25名。
這，是我眼中的它，
經過這裡的人們，很少很少為它駐足。
人們總是匆匆地來，又匆匆地離開，單純的利用它到達他們最終的目的地。
但是對我而言，它很美。它不單單只是一個乘載著乘客的地方。
它更承載著我們國家的歷史。
同時它也是我第一個獨自旅行的地方。
這裡的車流、人流、乘客、及在我們生命中可能是微不足道的小人物，
於我都象徵著一個城市的繁榮、生動及活潑。
要是沒有它，我們就沒有現在的生活了。
對於它，能說的
只有感謝！

This City

- Traffic -

On the day, I stood on a pedestrian bridge alone

Watching the traffic under the bridge.

The surrounding affairs were turning; merely I stopped.

To record such moving trace and

Those unreturned moments,

With a camera, I remember what I did,

Which I would never forget the day after,

That the moment was so special and important for me.

I suddenly realized that

The meaning to travel alone seemed not to be the moment,

But to find out the ignored incidence when organizing the recorded moments later on.

It allows me to more seriously observe and perceive the world,

The surrounding people, and the surrounding affairs

In the next trip.

The development and reflection after the trip is the real meaning of a trip.

- 車流 -

那天我一個人站在天橋上，
看這橋下的車流來來回回，走走停停。
周圍的一切不斷地在轉動，只有我停住。
為記錄下那些動的痕跡，
那些過去了就再也回不去的瞬間。
拿著相機，讓我記得，我曾經這樣做了，
讓我在以後的日子裡都不會忘記，
這一刻多麼對我而言多麼特別多麼重要。
我突然發現
一個人旅行的意義好像不是在當下，
而是回來以後，在整理自己所記錄下的瞬間時，
發現自己在當時所忽略的巧合，
讓自己能夠在下次旅行時，
更認真的去觀察與感知這個世界，
周遭的人，周圍的事物。
旅行後的醞釀與省思，才是旅行的意義吧
