In conjunction with Singapore's 50th birthday, the project ask to interveiw pioneer generation memeber to share their stories of Singapore and ask the designer to reiterate their stories in a visual form.

A grandmother whom have been through World War 2 kindly shared her story with me. She have seen the ups and downs of Singapore. It is often said that, you can see how one have lived their life by looking at their wrinkles on their hands. I played with those wrinkles on her hand to form space to create a few typography to tell her story. Many often say that, one’s hand with many wrinkles must have been through a lot.

Together with typography, these thin and thick wrinkles  represent how this pioneer have been through the thick and thin in life and how her hands have not only shaped her life, but also how it had helped to shaped Singapore today.
