Green Thumb Designs - Sustainable Planters

Green Thumb Designs is a brand marketed towards young millenials who live in cities and have a lack of space or yard for planting. These small planters offer a way for city dwellers to still curate a garden on their porch or patio. They are constructed from recycled materials that would otherwise be downgraded or thrown away. The hanging planter is constructed from used pallet wood and soda cans house the succulents. The staircase planter is also constructed from used pallet wood and various cans, glass jars and bottles are home to a variety of plants and vegetables. This planter also features hooks for gardening tools and space to store dirt and gloves. Both planters have been stained with an eco-friendly stain and sealer.

This project was completed as a group for Sustainable Design with the help of Lydia Davis and Catherine Row.
