LOCATION: Apt, Vaucluse, France
SIZE: Approximately 1, 500 sq ft.
TEAM: In collaboration with Catalina Guerra (SCAD Architecture, Bogota, Colombia)
The city of Apt is hosting an open market every saturday . Because of the regions heavy rain season, the city councilmen (Cedric Maros) wants to relocate their market to an old amphiteather and event location in the heart of Apt. These steel membranes are meant to cover for rain, and for sun protection. The design was inspired by nature and how the city of Apt Is embracing outdoor living.
