The brief was to design a poster for the Royal Ballet and the story I was given was Romeo and Juliet.

 

I decided to go with a more modern look than original instead of using the norm, the love heart, the swords, the ballet shoes I wanted to create something new. I think I have done this with this piece, I took photos of the male and female and i merged them together, it gives an interesting effect and also playing about in photoshop using techniques to make them disappear into each other creating the broken affect.

 

It show what the story is about, a love story that has been broken, so much tragedy and I feel that this is reflected in this artwork.
