During the comparative infographic assignment, we had to choose a designer, research them and write a discussion post about their life and design work. It should include their style, influences, typography, shapes, colors and composition that they tend to use. After the post we compared their work with two other designers in an infographic. This should include insight into their environment, color and styles they used. The next step was to compare their work with two more designers and create a second infographic that showed some of their work along with words and descriptions that compared them all to the selected designer. I chose to research Maurice Woods as my designer of choice and showed his work within my created infographic.
This is the final infographic with all four designers being compared with Maurice Woods, I attempted to create the infographic in his style by using vertical and horizontal alignment to help create balance for the piece.
This infographic used elements of his style to compare two other designers. The approach taken was to use hierarchy to showcase his design elements, while attempting to create a piece similiar to his style of work.
