The JMF, Inspired by a friend who had a latent diagnosis on the autism spectrum, deals with important information that a person would need to cope with the label and effects on life. The icon of the logo perhaps communicates the most in this particular visual identity. The design features four separate figures coming together as one entity in completion. This is representative of autism because it is often described as a puzzle. In fact, each individual case is often referred to as a puzzle piece and has an Identity all of its own. The idea of completion and solving the puzzle is created without using actual puzzle pieces so to avoid the expected and cliché’ in the design. In conjunction with the logo I’ve also created the cover of a periodical published by the foundation.
