Common people and opponents to the establishment have occasionally been subjected to oppression, violence and unlawful practices; imprisoned and even executed in Turkish political history as it is and always was in many countries all over the world.
In the meanwhile, we are being torn apart and dragged into despair as Turkey has become a part of the imperialist war in the recent years.
Every one of us can find a part of ourselves in the images that reveal when the political banners that have been placarded on streets walls one after another get old, rend and forms a defragmented whole. We do feel the fear, the rage and despair deep inside. The philosophers’ words on the awry system, freedom and struggle saves us from conformism and passivity and helps us the channel the rage created by those images to struggle, that is by all means legitimate. This is a “first step to the colorfulness from the gloomy black and white”.
At the center of this project lies the Red Star. It is anonymous because it belongs to the people and to the struggle that made history and therefore signifies the idea of “public” that is above and prior to the interests of singular individuals or groups of individuals.

Ortadoğu’da yıllardır emperyalistler eliyle sürdürülen savaşın ülkemize girmesiyle yarattığı umutsuzluk hissiyatı ve çok uzun yıllardır bu düzenin bizleri parçalamasına karşın, tüm farklılıklılıklarımızla eşit ve özgür bir dünya yaratmanın mümkün olduğunu bu projeyle göstermek istedim.
Sokaklarda duvarlara üst üste yapıştırılan, zamanla eskiyen, yırtılan, yırtıldıkça arkasındaki afişle bütünleşen ve ortaya çıkan görsellerde kendimizden birer parça bulabiliyoruz. O gözlerdeki korkuyu, öfkeyi, umutsuzluğu içimizde hissedebiliyoruz. Filozofların çarpık düzen, özgürlük ve mücadele üstüne söyledikleri sözler, resimlerin yarattığı öfkeyi doğru yere yani meşru mücadele zeminine kanalize etmenin yolunu açıyor. Bu ise “kasvetli siyah beyazdan, renkliliğe ilk adım” oluyor.
Aynı zamanda proje sadece kızıl yıldız etrafında oluşmaktadır. Anonimdir. Bunun nedeni ise halka ve tarihe mâlolmuş bir mücadelenin, bireylerin ve çıkar gruplarının faydası üstünde oluşudur.
