The objective of this assignment was to develop a marketing campaign for a nationally used app that hasn’t extensively advertised itself. My team decided to work with Tinder. As the number one lifestyle app, Tinder has thousands of users. Despite its strong numbers, many don’t like to admit they have the app or use it, with many Tinder profiles quipping, “We can tell your parents we met at the library.” The purpose of this campaign is to encourage users to embrace the app and do so proudly by comparing it to a similar guilty pleasure: sweets. After all, everyone has a sweet tooth once in a while. The campaign extends to Instagram, Pandora, and magazine advertisements and also features club promoters equipped with branded condom lollipops.
