During my MFA (Industrial Design) thesis, I identified a need to design technology based on a better understanding of human perception to facilitate communication through creative, multi-sensory interactions.
As a solution to this need, I envision Perceptive Objects: technology designed based on our abilities and environments, and to seamlessly exist with us. Perceptive Objects would not require us to alter our behaviors for them, but be based on what we find natural and rewarding.
I created prototypes of three such interactive objects for a solo exhibit at 13 Bricks Gallery, Savannah, GA. This is the second of those objects, titled, "Sound Paintings".
