The main concept in this animation, I would say, is the unpredictability of life. My strengths in showing that would be the drawing style that I used, and the simple sound effects used to enunciate the movements in the animation. But I felt that the length and the speed of the animation undermines the demonstration of this concept, because they do not allow the viewer to fully understand the plot of the animation.

 

     I used techniques like shadowing, masking, and motion tweens in this assignment and used them efficiently in my animation to portray the story. My strengths in the demonstration of these techniques would be that the aesthetic portion of this assignment was reached by utilizing those techniques. My animtion incorporated sound effects, and some of them were original sound effects, which was a first for me. There was also the fact that a simple colour scheme was followed throughout the whole animation, which is an aspect of design. ThoughI felt that, in some ways, the techniques I used made the finished product slightly confusing to the viewers, so my utilisation undermined the skills.

 

 

I would rate it my animation an 8 out of 10, because there were some aspects that looked a little messy, but the overall product makes up for that fact as it is put together and creates a reaction from the viewers. My work was original but it felt a little rushed, because towards the end I was very worried that I would not be able to present my finished work to my peers.

Though all of the required parts of the project were in the finished product, I felt that they were not integrated as well as I hoped because of how I felt rushed towards the end of the project and did not take measures to see if everything was well integrated. I would rate my commitment at about a 9, because I enjoyed this project very much so I was constantly thinking of ways to improve.
