These posters were created for a Mexican Food and Tequila Festival which too place 7 May 2016. The design was inspired by the ancient Aztec Calendars design as well as the colours (turquoise and red). The poem which is visible at the bottom of the page is a Nahua poem which has been translated into English, the poem reads:

No one comes on this earth to stay
Our bodies are like rose trees -
They grow petals then wither and die.
But our hearts are like grass in the springtime,
They live on and forever grow green again.

Which links up with the representation of the Calendar and the ancient Aztec concept of eternal life
