Merchandising materials for the new fashion brand.

Every fashion brand needs a logo so the first thing that i decided to do was create one for my new brand "HIDDEN DESIRE". Above is the logo for that I created on photoshop. To do this I skectched ot the outline of a fashion bodice block, scanned it in and filled it in with the colour black and finally I wrote "Hidden Desire" on Photoshop with the text tool.
Print for Store Bag
(image above)
above is the design that I created on photoshop to showcase what the print of the stores bags will look like. To do this, I used the cracked effect print that I created on photoshop as the back ground, and used the brand logo to represent the brand and allow people to know where others are shopping. In order to make the bags (the above image) will be sent to a printing company and printed onto the bags. Each customer will be charged £1 for a bag as the bags will not be made out of pastic but, will be made from natural cotten. The reason being natural cotten, because it will be easier to have the design printed on and the bags will last much longer, which will allow the customer to use them over and over and for whatever they like.
The print will also be printed onto paper bags and sold for the tax price of 5p, to the customers who do not wish to buy the natural cotten bags.

All clothing brands need swing tags so I decided to do some online research to get inspiration my my own brands swing tags. Above is an image taken from google that belongs to Andrea Billard's clothing brand. I chose these swing tags because I was instantly inspired and though they were very creative, I liked how she chose to have a bold print on the background swing tag, and with the carving technique, carved out clothing sillouetes on the front swing tag, allowing the back ground print to stand out and make it look like this is the print of the clothing pieces.
Front of the Swing Tag
(image above)
To create my swing tag I decided to use the bodice block from the hidden desire logo that I created on photoshop. To do this i opened up my logo onto Photoshop, with the selection tool i selected around the bodice block copyed it, and pasted it onto a new photoshop page. to finish it of and to rub out some of the logo name, i used the brush tool and painted over it white to blend in with the back ground.
Back of the Swing Tag
to create the back of my swing tag, i opened up a new page on photoshop, and with the grid tool I selected and designed my desired shape for the back ground. i decided to go for a rectangle, and use the colour white the reason i went for the was so that the front of the swing tag (black bodice block) would stand out more against the white and different shape. I went with a back and white swing tag as i think it represents the hidden deire very well as these are the main colours to expect to see in store

Above is fashion sketches that I created to represent the style of the clothing you can expect to purchase from Hidden Desire. The Hidden Desire is editorial meets high street.
Above is a style board that I created on Photoshop. I took these photo's from pinterest. However there is also one photo of myself that I created and added to my style board, that was inspired by dark and sinister Muslim Fashion photo's tooken from Pinterest.
Above is another style board that I created on Photoshop.
The Hidden Desire - Fashion Line Up
From my original photo's that I sketched I then scanned them in and used Photoshop to create a digitalized fashion line up.
For the background i sketched out a cracked effect and scanned that in aswell in order to perfect the the cracks and make it a digitilized print.
Why does the chosen work represent the best outcome of the options you could have developed?
I think I represented the future brand and promoted the style and clothing that you will be able to purchase very well with my fashion style and trend boards, however I think I could have maybe created more promotion work such as creating flyers on Photoshop to inform when the new store would be opening.
How does your work compare with the professional work you researched?
I personally think my work is ok, but not a professional Photoshop standard. I think I captured my photos and expressed my theme well through my photos. However I feel like I could improve on my Photoshop skills in order to produce more professional and digitalized work in the future. I do however think my Photoshop skills have improved when I comes to creating fashion line ups, mood and trend boards.
What were the constraints and difficulties you encountered?
I personally didn’t find any of this Photoshop work difficult, I just think I could of maybe created a bit more visual work in order to promote more of a visual concept on the future brand.
How could you have improved the process or out come?
I think I could have improved my process or out come more, if I researched more about how to work my way around Photoshop in order to gain the confidence and knowledge that I know I could have in order to create a more professional and digitalized fashion logo. I also feel as though I could have also maybe created a brand bag as I feel as though that is an important brand merchandise.
