This piece was created to represent the idea of heaven. My interpretation of the idea gravitated towards a psychological view of such a word. Because we all have different perceptions of the world around us, the idea of heaven and hell can be skewed by our experiences. The other interpretation of the theme or the images behind the word "heaven" is that every human contains both positivity(in this case heaven) and negativity(in case hell). I wanted to express this in such a way so that the viewer can see the calm demeanor of the woman and her beauty as well as her ugly interior ( with her glare and the barbed wire.)
