Mobile interception device

Mobile wireless interception device for the armed forces.
This project was very interesting and involved many different aspects and challenges to solve.

The brief came form a cyber security company (Verint Inc) to provide a small device to be used by the police to be able to capture criminals out in the field relaying only on wireless technologist.

The device should be small enough to be concealed under a shirt with the appearance of a mobile phone. This device sends signals to the a normal smart hone which has an app showing the direction one should use to follow a subject criminal.
Issues like connectivity/proximity over heating system and short battery life span were few of my challenges.
I decided to adopt existing solutions like (using a Samsung battery and charging the device like a phone rather then a radio device) this solution allowed to use the device to more than 2 hours before charging or swapping battery. Also an aluminium case helped dissipating the heat better.

This device was made in my studio and later on sent to the field to be tested. This device has been in use since 2013 and new generation of devices have been created reduced in size and capable to withhold longer time out in an operation.
Checking device proximity and connectivity.
First prototype made in house a combination of aluminium machining and Abs 3d printing
First drafts of how the device will be and work, The app was developed in another company.
Examining some types of mechanical solutions.
Early stage proposals for the device and the way to insert the battery.
