Roboto is a neo-grotesque, sans-serif typeface family developed by Robert Christian in 2011. Although Google describes the font as “modern, yet approachable” and “emotional,” it has been criticized by other typeface designers to be unoriginal.

 

Austin Kleon’s Steal Like an Artist says,”Nothing is original.” Kleon asks you to embrace influence, school yourself through the work of others, remix and reimagine to discover your own path. 

 

For this type specimen of Roboto, I condensed the material from Steal Like an Artist. 

The specimen was bound using the saddle-stitch technique.
