African Elephant Head - Etched Glass Bronze Mirror

Close up view of the etched elephant head.  The texture is from the styrofoam that is behind the etching.
Close up view of the tusc area of the elephant head etched on the bronze mirror.  Again you can see the texturing come through in the photography exposing the styrofoam set behind the glass.
Full view of the etched glass elephant head.  The flash created a separation from the mirror with the shadows in the phtography.  This is actually etched on the backside of the bronze mirror - deep carved in stages.
Always difficult for me to photograph etching.  It's even more difficult when it is done on a mirror.  The sanblasted elephant head is carved on a 1/4" bronze mirror measuring 18" x 36".
Another chance at phtogrpahing the 1/4" bronze mirror.  The flash created a shadow drawing the etching away from the mirror surface, even though it was sandblasted in reverse on the back side.
