"Ci vuole..:" is Italian and literally translates to "it wants" in English, but is used in the same way as "it takes...", as in "it takes a lot of courage to quit an addiction." The title was chosen for this piece from the song "Ci Vuole un Fisico Bestiale" by Luca Carboni. The literal translation of the song title is "It Takes a Bestial Physique", and the lyrics speak of the various difficulties of life and the necessity of strong a physical constitution to survive some of the experiences we are subjected to and that we put ourselves through in this world. This drawing illustrates the choice and temptation of drowning away suffering and difficulties with the numbing effect of alcohol. It is not a political statement and no judgment is intended. There is no right and wrong in this life, only that which helps and that which harms.
