For this brief I had to choose a Non-Profit Organisation and identify a need within the organisation.

 

I chose the Gaurdian Angels. They are an organisation that provides assistance and companionship to the sick and elderly community. There are various branches all over South Africa and within each branch are volunteers (mainly women) who get together and organise weekly games days, afternoon tea, birthday parties and many more for the sick and elderly in their community.

 

After spending time at the organisation and speaking to some of their volunteers I realised that they do not have a platform where everything can be organised and various forms of information can be easily shared.

 

For the sake of the brief I decided to design an application where each volunteer is able to upload information and plan events. This will allow all the volunteers to view the information and allow communication to be easier while still maintaining a fun, friendly and interactive experience.
