Scientific American is one of the oldest magazines in the United States. I took a prexisting volume of Scientific American and redesigned the masthead which can be applied to volumes in the future, redesigned the cover for the pre-existing main story, as well as redesigning the main spread. It was a challenge to preserve the tradition of a classic favorite while also bringing the magazine into the modern age.
