The following are images from Scooter Thomas Makes it to the Top of the World, Directed by Anna Walker. This was a student production for which I was a Lighting Designer.
Most of the scenes take place in the character’s mind and memory. This led to design choices that supported strong emotions, vivid coloring, and an atmosphere that was not always clear.
There was limited light kit available, and the production took place in a very intimate setting. It has, however, been one of my favorite shows to work on.
