Film Booklet - The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Print reinterpretation of the motion film
'The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou'
by director Wes Anderson.

Story of the film was narrated through point of view of the main character - Steve Zissou, an oceanographer who is going through his mid-life crisis. He discovered his unexpected son and went on his last voyage, bringing his new found son with him, along with a unique crew of people to see a rare shark he spent his whole life looking for and wonder if this is the end of his life's purpose.
The booklet included 20 images captured from the film and 200 words taken from original film script. The mission is to capture the essence of the story and unique visual style of the director Wes Anderson in this film.
The opening and several parts of the film are presented with framing like vintage documentary being shown on theatre screen. I want to capture the vintage theatre-like quality of the film with layering effects of paper cutting and pop-up book, which is a nostalgic form of print book what we don't see around as much anymore.
The text chosen a mostly taken from the main character's monologue about his self-doubt when severing his ties with the people who knows his old self as a top oceanographer and building a new relationship with people who entering his life in the receding side of life and helping him accept his new path behind the limelight from that point onwards.
