Apple iCondo
Introduction
 
In the past few years Apple has been barely keeping up with the new technology breakthroughs in the digital realm. Since the iPad and the short comings of the iWatch, Apple has solely focused on software and hardware updates, thus creating a lag in the
stock market. It is time for a new hair-raising device or product that will put Apple back on the map and to bring in fresh revenue.
 
Task
 
My objective was to create an integrated marketing campaign for Apple and its merge with another company or product of my choice. I chose to merge Apple with Condos, creating an interactive living experience.
 
Actions
 
After researching both Apple and Condo real state, I had to really dig into who my consumer would be.  From close investigation, I chose to target Millennials because they are the most tech savvy, open and willing to live in a place where technology would dominate the space. They are also in the market for apartments and condos, as anyone older would be in the family stage and in the market for houses.
To accomplish my objective I created “Apple iCondo,” a luxury apartment fully wired with all the latest apple equipment. It’s a place of indulgence, where you can come home, relax, put your feet up and manage responsibilities with ease.
 
Results
 
To satisfy my goals I created an integrated campaign including magazine ads, a sixty second radio commercial, a thirty second television commercial, touch screen interactive installation, and social media tactics. The advertisements would reveal a room in the iCondo where the visual would show how the interaction between the technology and the owner would co-act. Then, the copy would support the visual by explaining the scene and how it could benefit your life to move into this new living experience. The radio commercial would do the same but have more censorial detail, due to the lack of visual. Television commercials are a bit different because you have the opportunity to have audio and visuals. I took that opportunity to use a classic boy gets the girl story with a twist. The iCondo, who is the third party helping make his night run smoothly, would become the protagonist. The Interactive installations would be another compelling way to introduce this tech savvy condo to the world by giving patrons that walk by the opportunity to explore the home using hand gestures, and fun elements making the experience worth wild. Finally, the social media campaign would give a few lucky people the opportunity to vacation in one of the condos for a weekend to receive the full censorial experience.
