My Brother, the award winning DOP, John Choi, asked that I get involved on a project that really moves us to our core. It is a documentary about the people of Japan that lost so much in the Tsunami of March 2011. As their belongings float to the shores of North America, having made the tremendous journey across the Pacific, we will document their return, and the human connections that result.
This is the one-pager I created for this. I wanted to get across the idea that somehow a form intimacy comes out of the vastness of an epic disaster that occurred so far away.
