Wanderer Above a Sea of Fog
edited by Madison Hain
For this work, I took the painting of "Wanderer Above a Sea of Fog" and cropped out pieces of it, made them clipping masks in separate layers, and put in photos of nebulas and galaxies into it.  It was quite simple, but it turned out very beautiful.

This small little landscape was created by using a clipping mask on a photo of a tree and using a picture of a nebula.  The "ground" area was made by just making a circle and using a clipping mask of a different picture of a nebula, just stretched a bit.  The background is a picture of space that I found.
Crab-like bug character
By Madison Hain
This was part of a project in school where we had to come up with making a female villain character that had to either look like a crab or a mantis.  I went with both, and created the creature using several different brushes. I used the colorize tool in Photoshop, came up with 4 color schemes.
Background in snowy region
By Madison Hain
This background setting is placed in a world with floating islands and extreme cold weather.  The buildings are made of steel, and there are bridges connecting each island.  The tree is supposed to be somewhat like a willow, and the bridges were made using trees of the same kind.  The texture in the mountains was from a photo of the side of a canyon the I made black and white and made the islands into clipping masks.
Cool Character in snowy setting
By Madison Hain
This character is placed in a very cold environment, where he needs a mask to be able to breath.  The character has a mechanical left arm, and as you can see, he likes spikes.  He is holding a sword with a power source in it.  I used several different brushes to create this character and the environment.
