Conair was looking to return to it's roots and rebrand it's professional image with a fresh and authentic campaign that appealed to the exploding men's barbering industry. Working with New York City based photographer, Dan Martensen, we captured real barbers working in a famous Brooklyn Barber Shop using Conair clippers and trimmers, and built the story around the experience. Designing the book like a cultural trend piece, we balanced the gritty location and imagery with an ultra clean and modern page design, paired with bold and classic typography. The result is a beautiful printed piece that is both aspirational and refreshingly real in it's portrayal of the people and the experience of owning, working in or patronizing an authentic barber shop.
