Seed is an english reading app for Chinese users.
Users can add articles they found around the web and add it to Seed, while Seed will do its magic to make every single word click to translate, and pull the key phrases from article and give them definitions from wikipedia.
Seed has a feed where users recommend their articles. In the design of the feed, I challenged by using a magazine-like typography method of 5 different layouts.
There is aslo a streamview where users could swipe horizontally to see articles from each category or domain. Selected article's image will be zoomed and title will be showed.
Articleview is the most complicated part of the app. Users could highlight sentences, click for popup dictionary of each word, and cards for definitions of key phrases.
