Sighting a Still Life - This 18” x 24” graphite still life counter line illustration. The proportions were created using only sighting techniques. The still life objects selected included regular, irregular, cubic forms, organic, and inorganic structures. This is contour line illustration without any value shading.

Night Lily - Collection of four ink illustrations.  In two top illustrations, stippling was used to demonstrate a value range in actual and zoom scale. In the bottom two illustrations, the image was created in black and white and reverse figure ground versions.

Ink Washes - Ink wash illustrations demonstrate the process and value variations in still life. The ink was diluted according to the swatches. The ink was applied to show variations in lighting and shadowing.

Charcoal Full Value Candies – Collection of charcoal full value illustrations demonstrate the use of line sensitivity, line variation, lighting, and shadowing. This collection also demonstrates the various uses of positive and negative space in each design.
