The company was inspired by fictitious founder David Rickman’s family tradition of having ice cream sundae’s with his family every Sunday after church. Everyone would be dressed up in their Sunday’s best while enjoying the sweet treat, thus the name Sundae's Best. Wanting to pay tribute to the founder’s childhood, the logotype and brand colors are vintage in feel. The products are packaged in glass jars, giving a sturdy and trustworthy touch. They are also reusable and can be brought back to the factory store and be refilled with ice cream for a discounted price. Each product has a unique character dressed in their Sunday’s best and represents the flavor or product inside the container. The characters are die-cut so you can see the contents of the package underneath. The natural ingredients in the ice cream appeal to parents, while the fun colors and character designs appeal to children, making it the perfect product to bring families together.
