Master Painting Series

The study of specific shapes that were used create the composition and the techniques of mark making used to create an impressionist style.

Exploration of quantities of colors, leading into a study of the major axial and curvilinear structure to abstract the work of art using acrylic paint and collage. 
 
Abstracting the master painting into a geometric grid format, while maintaining the light and space of original work
Final two studies translate the 2-dimensional color relationships from the master painting into 3-dimensional color relationships in order to achieve the illusion of illumination.
