To close out NPR’s first-ever podcast upfront, held in collaboration with WNYC and WBEZ, we created a sizzle reel. Over live action footage of listeners in their different natural habitats, we weaved in supporting quotes and stats, and a voiceover narration. Together, they illustrate how podcasts’ explosive reach and uniquely intimate qualities help sponsoring brands gain affinity from their listeners in a way no other format can. And taking our theme ‘Hearing is believing’ to heart, we close the video by simulating the podcast listening experience for our viewers.
