Akin to my previous projects, I wanted to create a mock fashion advertising campaign and foster new relationships with local designers. In this instance it was a jewelry designer. Accessories are not usually present in my work so I created a cohesive jewelry campaign and collaborated with Stephanie BIJOUX, who creates eclectic, tribal inspired jewelry. Stephanie utilizes assorted gemstones, natural stones and
fringe elements in her work which initially drew me to them. Most of her designs are inspired by African fashion, art and styles, as well as how she fuses tribal/ethnic influences with seasonal trends to create modern statement jewels with a traditional African twist.
My inspiration stems from perfume ads that feature a clean and crisp beauty shot plus a shot displaying the product and went it to how I executed my interpretation. I essentially wanted to showcase how the product looked by itself and how the consumer would wear it. These ads were created to engage a youthful consumer with an adventurous taste in accessories.
