Este proyecto se generó con el objetivo de fabricar un producto a partir de la aplicación de técnicas digitales. Curiosos por la emergencia de la impresión 3D, partimos del diseño digital por medio del programa Rhinoceros 3D donde se proyectó la mayor parte del cuerpo tomando en cuenta medidas para la inserción de una bombilla de luz. Así mismo, mezclamos la técnica de corte láser para fabricar la base que serviría más adelante para su instalación.

This project was born with the purpose to develop a product through the application of digital techniques. With the 3D printing emerging at the time and bursting with curiosity we head to work with Rhinoceros 3D, where most of the body was modeled, minding the necessary measures for the insertion of a light bulb. Additionally, we mixed laser cut processes to create the base which would later work for the installation.

Una vez listas las impresiones y corte, partimos a doblar la lámina y darle sus acabados finales de pintura; por otro lado, la impresión 3D requería de unir las piezas entre sí con adhesivo y lijar para un acabado limpio.

Once the printed and laser cut pieces were ready, we moved toward the metal sheet bending and the final painting finishes, on the other hand, the 3D printed pieces required to be joined with adhesive and sanded for a smooth finish.
