I made this ring to represent the emptiness my brain feels at the end of each class term.  I feel utterly exhausted, mind, body, and soul.  Not that that is a bad thing.  I just feel such a passion for what I'm doing that I am willing to give every last ounce of effort toward my work.  And I love that I have found something that I feel that way about.  I designed this ring in CAD and originally had it printed in wax.  The wax prints are very fragile and it broke before I had a chance to cast it into metal.  It didn't completely break, and I was able to cast it partially.  However, I wanted to have a full ring, so I sent the file to shapeways.com and they printed it directly into silver!
