Typography Posters

Back when type was still created mechanically and not digitally, type foundries would advertise their new typefaces by sending out A1 size posters to printers, publishers, designers, and the like. The type foundry posters demonstrated the name of the typeface, distinct characteristics, the alphabet, and maybe a paragraph or two about the typeface.

In Typography I, I was assigned to create such a poster. Additional requirements included featuring a single character in the background and three letters that displayed distinct characteristics of the typeface. I chose Didot, a class favorite, and Rockwell.
