The challenge we were assigned was to create a wedding look with alternative materials, and a budget of $25. I created this look with wedding invitations, EVA foam, thermoplastic, faux pearls, trim from a costume, rope, velcro, hot glue, spray paint, and $1/yd fabric for the skirt. My target customer is a woman who is confident, sexy, and who knows that she is a goddess. The look is composed of a skirt with removable hip accents, a bustier, and a detachable shoulder piece. My inspiration was ancient Grecian jewelry and found artifacts. The center decal on the bust is taken directly from an artifact discovered in Athens, and transformed into a focal point that draws the colors and shapes of the look together.
