Spring Summer 2016 Scarves Collection

This is the second collection of scarves and textile prints which are inspired by the clash between the simplicity and decorativeness of Japanese woodblock prints and the vibrancy of Hawaiian shirts. There are also references to the Safari-world represented by the tiger and zebra prints. The "digitalised", synthetic feel of the floral ornaments in this collection gives both the touch of femininity and, by their very bright colours and sharp shapes, some aggressiveness. As I have always been an enthusiast of colour contrasts, I assembled shades of bright red, pitch and charcoal black, cold white and energising orange with the shade of delicate baby blue.
Sharp lines give the collection the scent of harshness and a bit of strictness which refers to human sexuality. There is also an attempt to create something a bit futuristic, but not overly literal in that point, as a kind of departure from the simplicity and flat geometry of the previous collection. This collection is about such words like charm, allure, scent, sensuality and femininity.
