(2015)
"A twisted journey to save a stranger's life
Are the monsters real or in your mind?"

"Behind The Grey Door" is an interactive fiction game using Twine (an interactive fiction software) that takes the player through a metaphorical journey of a mind. The direct goal is to get through every floor to reach the roof and save a stranger's life. Every floor has monsters that you need to face, and in order to get to the next floor you need to solve the riddle behind the grey door. The monsters however could be metaphors for aspects of a person's psychology. They have been created in a way to manipulate the players' mind and direct them towards the right answers of the riddles. As the story unfolds and the player reaches the final scene, the identity of the stranger you need to save is revealed.

The game is in the form of free verse poetry accompanied by gifs created out of my illustrations. It has been created using Twine, an interactive fiction software that required basic knowledge of HTML coding. I published it on Newgrounds, an online game publishing platform for easy access to view and play the game. I recommend the game be played to understand it in its entirety.

The game can be played here - http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/662524.
