Murano is known for glass blowing, making some of the finest pieces in the world. It is a colorful island off the coast of Venice. Here is an image to capture the essence of Murano, with the canal, boats, buildings and the view. Sitting on the horizon line is a view of another island, this shows how close in proximity these islands are to each other.

The Grand Canal is a major highlight for any visitor in Venice, and is a major transportation area. The magnificence of Venice is seen on this canal.
