My process usually involves an initial sketch to establish placement and size, I then trace over that with a brush tip marker and last is adding color with watercolors. I don't necessarily plan out the thick and thinness of my pen lines, but I like the effect and personality it give the illustration. The outline version would make a good coloring book page, non?
