• Miyabi was an experiment in creating a link between wood and leather beyond the realms of upholstery. Inspired by Japanese building styles, the idea was to construct a structural joint between the materials without using a third material or any external hardware. The result is a system of wood parts that is held together under tension by leather belting and a wooden peg. The small collection includes a hanging wall shelf, a bench and a stool, all of which work on the same principle.
