Inspired by traditional hungarian textiles and the contrast between traditional and urban lifestyle these textiles aim to redesign the traditional waffle weave. Each textile is split into two parts with different warp colours and altered patterns. By using wefts of multiple colours and thicknesses the original waffle texture transforms into new patterns.

For the first textile I used more natural wefts in texture and colour, the wefts of the second one are natural in texture but artificial in colours.

The last textile of the series is a combination of natural wefts and plastic, transparent wefts. The transparency of the artificial wefts creates a new pattern as only parts of the original pattern are visible.
