Quantified-Self
Forour semesterproject with the topic „Quantified-Self“ (seehttp://quantifiedself.com/ for further informations),I planned to document a hole day in my life with a self-buildedcamera. Thegadget should not be controlled with a regular Trigger, but with thehelp from bodyfunctions like skinresistance (polygraph), apulsesensor, microphone and a timeintervall from 30 minutes.Whenever, for example, my heartbeat is faster than a setted value thecamera makes a picture.
Afterthree measured days, all of the produced images are copied into adynamic generated layout (via processing) and then printed out. Fromnow the viewer can follow on the timeline my hole day I had.
Becausethe gadget had no regular or manual control options, it was a veryuncommon uncontrollabilityfor me. In this way, I created a „full-time“ monitoring: It wasnot possible to censor some of the situations during the day (likesitting on the toilet).
Thetechnology taking over controll and decided about the imagerelevance!
