Problem Solving: Confinement

This project is the first of four for my class titled Problem Solving, which focuses on using unconventional materials to create beautiful and wearable garments. For this project we visited the aquarium to find an animal that inspired us.  Then using unconventional materials we had to create a garment that evokes the spirit of the chosen animal. The challenge presented was that we had to work within the confines of the silohoutte of the "shift dress."
The fish I selected was the very poisonous Lion Fish, I was drawn to it's bold color pallete, poisonous spikes, and structural "wing like" qualities.
